In his own words, Patrick B. Pexton admitted that the Washington Post has not critically covered Barack Obama.
Even the ombudsman from 2005 through 2008 ( Deborah Howell) agreed by saying “some of the conservatives’ complaints about a liberal tilt [at The Post] are valid.”

This is what Pexton is now saying.
I won’t quibble with her conclusion. I think she was right. I read all of The Post’s lengthier, meatier stories on Obama published from October 2006 through Election Day 2008... I think there was way too little coverage of his record in the Illinois Senate and U.S. Senate".
Most of us Conservatives already knew this. We already knew that Obama's record in the US Senate was hardly ever mentioned in the media let alone his record in the Illinois Senate. He was an empty slate when he became President.

Pexton says the Washington Post is going to spend more time on Obama's record but a little too late, isn't it? The other thing is this. Most Americans are already aware of Obama's record. The economy is on everybody's mind. There is nothing the Washington Post would say that we don't already know. Perhaps they will give specifics but we all know the budget is getting out of hand and the economy is sinking in the toilet.
